| dc.description.abstract | Se encuestaron a 88 pacientes nuevas de 18 a 80 años de edad, atendidas por consultorios externos del Hospital Regional de Cajamarca. Los datos fueron recolectados utilizando el instrumento de medición COPE 28 y una entrevista semiestructurada. Los resultados muestran que las estrategias de afrontamiento centradas en el problema fueron las más utilizadas y dentro de ellas el afrontamiento activo y búsqueda de apoyo emocional. Por otro lado, las estrategias centradas en la emoción fueron utilizadas en casi la misma proporción, siendo la religión y Auto-distracción las de mayor uso. Por otro lado, se encontraron diferencias en el uso de estrategias de afrontamiento, según el grado de instrucción, grupo etario y tipo de religión. Así como también, según el apoyo familiar y presencia de antecedentes de cáncer. Las pacientes con cáncer de cérvix y mama utilizan en similar proporción estrategias centradas en el problema y centradas en la emoción. Las pacientes que utilizan en mayor medida estrategias centradas en la emoción se caracterizan por tener menor grado de instrucción, su edad es mayor de cincuenta años y profesan religión cristiana evangélica Las pacientes que tuvieron antecedentes de cáncer y apoyo de su familia utilizan en mayor medida estrategias centradas en el problema. | es_ES |
| dc.description.sponsorship | The present study was oriented to determine confrontation strategies used by women aged 18 to 80 years before a diagnosis of cervical and breast cancer, taking into account the influence of demographic, familiar and factors related to the disease. Taking into account the patients attended throw medical consultation of the Regional Hospital of Cajamarca, were interviewed 88 patients. Data were collected using COPE 28 measuring instrument and a semi-structured interview. The results show that strategies confrontation focused on the problem were the most used and within them the active confrontation and search for emotional support. The strategies focused into the emotion were used in almost the same proportion, being the religion and Auto-distraction those of greater use. On the other hand, confrontation strategies using differs respect following variables: degree of instruction, age group, type of religion, family support perception, and presence of cancer history. In short we can say that, patients with cervical and breast cancer use in similar proportion strategies focused into the problem and emotion. Patients who confrontation strategies are more emotion centered, distinguished by a lesser degree of instruction, their age is over fifty and practice Evangelical Christian religion.
